8B: 13 beds
High-acuity unit
Busy/Large Level 1 Trauma

Required Qualifications

RN
ACLS
BLS Certification
NIHSS
Open to floating
Flexible with scheduling
CRRT trained
Experience in a very busy hospital
3+ years of experience
Prior travel experience required

Preferred Qualifications

EPIC familiarity

Schedule

12-hour day shifts
36 hours per week
Every other weekend
6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks
Will work any holidays they are willing to work

Clinical Details

Ratios: 1:2, occasionally 1:1
Common patient types: Heart, Lung Transplants, LVAD patients in C8A, ACB and Valve surgeries in C8B
Titrates drips
Common titratable/set-rate drips: all vasoactive drips for cardiac patients
Intensivist model
RT assigned to unit
Hardwire monitoring
Devices seen: LVAD, CRRT/SLED, Impella, IABP

Floating

First to float out depending on competency

Additional Information

Teal scrubs
2-3 shifts of orientation with preceptors
Daily parking is $15+/day; monthly parking pass options range from $95-$120
