Manager Infection Prevention and Control

Overview

• Location: Yuma, Arizona
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, with adjustable hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
• Weekend requirements: None
• Department: Infection Preventionist
• Hospital size: 406 beds
• Unit orientation: 2 days specific to the IP RN role
• Radius rule: 100 miles

Required Qualifications

• RN license, active and in hand, Arizona or Compact
• BLS (AHA)
• CIC
• 5 years of experience working as an Infection Prevention Manager in an acute hospital of similar size
• EPIC experience
• Must be able to include accurate start date, time off, detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, and employment gap explanations in the profile/resume

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the comprehensive Infection Prevention program
• Lead infection prevention surveillance, investigation, and reporting activities
• Collaborate with Employee Health on influenza vaccination and tuberculosis screening
• Work with hospital departments and external public health entities on infection prevention matters
• Review and implement current infection prevention standards and literature
• Attend daily 9:15 AM safety huddle
• Work closely with another IP RN on regular duties

• May receive occasional questions by phone outside regular hours, but no in-person call-in is required
• Business casual attire
• Works with hospitalist and intensivist teams
