Overview

  • Location: Uniontown, Pennsylvania
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Days
  • Hours: 36 per week
  • Unit: 3W Stepdown (28 beds)

Required Qualifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • Unexpired driver’s license
  • Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
  • Must be able to titrate drips: Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin

Schedule / Work Expectations

  • 12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend
  • Every other holiday
  • Must work Christmas or New Years

Unit / Patient Population

  • Heavy cardiac patients
  • Dysrhythmias
  • CVAs
  • Mix of patients downgraded from the ICU

Floating

  • May float to ICU as helping hands

Additional Details

  • 2 shifts of floor-specific orientation with a preceptor
  • Tele monitors are used
  • RN charge may have an assignment on nights
