Physical Therapist (Inpatient Rehab)

Location: Monterey, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Days
Hours: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, including 2 weekends per month


Job Summary

  • Provide physical therapy services split between an Acute Inpatient Unit and a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
  • Work with diverse patient populations including neurological injury recovery and elderly rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient functional outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Valid Physical Therapist license in California.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Work Environment & Additional Information

  • EMR system used: Epic.
  • Floating between Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and Skilled Nursing Facility based on unit needs.
  • Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs.
  • Facility is nicotine-free; all drug tests must be negative for nicotine/cotinine unless prescribed nicotine patch. Positive tests without legitimate reason may result in contract cancellation.

Schedule

  • 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week.
  • Required to work 2 weekends per month.
