Job Opportunity: RN Flex Pool - Nights

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Flexible RN position floating between various medical and surgical units
Units include Medical Unit, Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute), and occasionally Cardiovascular Unit
12-hour night shifts (18:45 to 07:15), scheduled 36 hours per week after orientation
No guaranteed hours

Required Licensure & Certifications

Active Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
BLS and ACLS required
Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC

Experience Requirements

2 to 10 years of nursing experience required (use higher value: 10 years)

Skills & Equipment

Experience with Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios

Medical Unit: 1:6 (days/evenings), 1:8 (nights)
Laulima Unit: 1:6
Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4
Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves

Orientation & Training

Orientation provided for each unit floated to

Additional Information

Must have Hawaii nursing license before starting
Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday
Professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) required
Medical and religious exemption requests for immunity will not be accepted
