Job Opportunity: Allergy RN
Location: Avon, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Shift: Days (4x10 schedule)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Start Date: ASAP
Position Summary
Provide allergy treatment and patient care support in collaboration with providers and clinical staff. Responsibilities include managing allergy shot patient flow, performing procedures, documenting patient information, and delivering patient education to promote optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer allergy treatments including injections and immunotherapy vial mixing.
- Monitor patients during and after allergy injections, taking appropriate action in case of reactions.
- Obtain and document patient history, vital signs, and treatment details accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Coordinate patient care and communicate plans with providers and other healthcare disciplines.
- Oversee daily patient flow to ensure safety, satisfaction, and efficient care delivery.
- Educate patients on allergy treatment plans and wellness.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock supplies, and ensure proper functioning of equipment in treatment areas.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, prioritization, and delegation skills in accordance with Colorado statutes.
- Perform venipunctures, administer medications, and assist with procedures as needed.
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in patient care and administrative duties preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations.
Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse license valid in Colorado or a valid compact state license.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Skills:
- Proficient computer skills or ability to obtain within 90 days for online training and documentation.
- Strong English language skills (reading, writing, speaking).

- Lift up to 10 lbs frequently; up to 35 lbs occasionally
- Exposure to healthcare environment hazards such as radiation, chemicals, biological hazards, noise, and stress.
