Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (6 AM - 4 PM)

Job Summary

• Provide independent and proficient nursing care to patients and their families using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, and management to address nursing issues and interpret hospital policies.
• Maintain clinical competency and continue learning new skills to ensure safe, direct patient care.
• Promote positive public relations and assist in community service programs as requested.
• Demonstrate effective communication with patients of varying ages and cultures, maintaining a positive attitude.
• Practice the five rights of medication administration and efficient time management.
• Foster teamwork and seek assistance when needed.
• Act as a patient advocate, respecting confidentiality, cultural, and religious beliefs.
• Handle end-of-life decisions professionally.
• Be reliable in attendance and accountable for actions and decisions.
• Follow the chain of command to resolve issues appropriately.
• Participate in hospital and department quality and legal compliance activities.
• Adhere to organizational customer service standards and departmental policies.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Ability to speak additional languages is preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
