Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

• Unit: MedSurg Telemetry (E100)
• Beds: 48 (average census 27)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 (days), 1:6 (nights)
• Staffing: 1 unit secretary (7am-11pm), Patient Care Technicians (PCT) ratio 1:10-15, occasional 1:1 coverage with PCT or patient safety tech
• Equipment: Hoyer lift, automated blood pressure machines, bladder scanner, remote telemetry monitoring, vein finder
• Documentation System: Altera/Allscripts Sunrise
• Scheduling: Every other week (EOW), 12-hour shifts preferred
• Floating Policy: Floats to like MedSurg Telemetry units; float pool and travelers float first
• Patient Experience: Participation in daily multidisciplinary rounds (MDRs) on day shift Monday-Friday, 10:30-11:15am
• Additional Unit Highlights: Brand new blood pressure machines, strong team atmosphere, monthly UPC meetings, excellent employee retention, hospital recently joined a large healthcare system (knowledge of system is a plus)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Orthopedics experience

Dress Code

• No required uniform
• Scrubs and closed-toe shoes required (no crocs)

Work Hours

• Approximately 36 hours per week
