Job Details
- Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Employment Type: Travel contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Location: Richmond, Virginia
- Work Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7 AM and 5 PM; weekends rotate
- Unit: Rehabilitation Therapy
- Unit Size: 44 beds
- Patient Ratio: 4:1
- Staffing: 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, 1 tech
- Floating Policy: May float to acute hospital if rehab census is low
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Dress Code: Black scrub bottoms and royal blue top preferred
Unit & Facility Highlights
- Equipment includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, Diego
- Procedures performed: manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, functional electrical stimulation
- Patient experience standards include use of AIDET communication and immediate service recovery
- Facility holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered) certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
- Experience with stroke evaluation and treatment
