Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Details
- 30 beds total: 22 acute care and 8 stepdown
- Ratios: 6:1 on acute care and 4:1 on neuro stepdown
- Weekends are required
- Experience nurses may float after orientation
Skills and Experience
- Strong acute care nursing skills and time management
- Stepdown experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills
Clinical Environment
- Acute care side includes stroke-related care and equipment such as vital sign machines, high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, and drips
- Neuro stepdown includes Vapotherm, BiPAP, trachs, and titratable cardiac drips
