Guaranteed 36 hours per week
12-hour variable shifts, majority between:
- 05:00-17:00
- 09:00-21:00
- 10:00-22:00
- 11:00-23:00
Occasional flexibility required for shifts: 14:00-02:00 and 17:00-05:00
PM shifts may start at 11:00 or 14:00
On-call requirement: 12 hours in a 6-week period, with a 30-minute response time
Call back minimum: 2 hours
Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday

Trauma Level II, 18-bed Emergency Department
Stroke certified unit with cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, respiratory cases
Fast-paced environment with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:3-4
Charting system: EPIC
Medication dispensing: Pyxis
RNs perform lab draws and nebulizer treatments
Respiratory therapists and X-ray staff on site

May be required to float to nearby locations (Merrill, Antigo, Medford, Stanley)
Must be resilient, able to manage change well, and work independently
Scrub color: any color allowed
During flu season, travelers declining flu and COVID vaccinations must wear masks at all times per facility policy (mandatory compliance)
Low census hours: Eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours; may be put on call during these hours with call back pay if called in
