Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide respiratory therapy support across all patient care areas including Emergency Department (ED) and general care units.
• May float to other Central Aspirus locations with advance notice.
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:30 - 07:00).
• Weekend and holiday rotation: every other weekend and holiday.
• Provide emergency services for Rapid Response and Code Blue situations.
• Use equipment such as V60 BIPAP, HAMILTON G5 and C1 ventilators, iSTAT, and document in EPIC.
• Care for all age groups with skills in basic respiratory care, critical care, ventilator management, and patient assessment using Assess and Treat Protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Licensure: Active Wisconsin Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Advanced NRP required. NBRC RRT required; NBRC CRT accepted if RRT is obtained within one year.
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of respiratory therapy experience with pediatric experience required. NICU experience required for night shift positions.
• Prior Travel Experience: Previous travel experience required.

Additional Information

• Radius Rule: Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (except during holidays or orientation week).
• On-call hours may be required during low census periods; call-back pay applies.
• Flu and COVID vaccination required or mask-wearing policy strictly enforced during flu season.
• Dress code: Closed-toed shoes, scrubs of any color, no smoking or scents, piercings per policy.
