Echocardiographer Travel Job - Wisconsin

Job Summary

• Perform Transthoracic echocardiograms.
• Set up and assist with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
• Under supervision, set up and perform exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms.
• Deliver care primarily to an adult patient population.
• Follow standards set by the American Society of Echocardiography.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain accurate procedure documentation.
• Prepare and instruct patients before and after procedures.
• Utilize ultrasound contrast agents according to guidelines and explain potential side effects.
• Maintain and perform minor maintenance on ultrasound equipment, including cleaning and sterilizing TEE probes and performing leakage testing.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 1st shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Variable shifts including weekends and emergent call coverage as scheduled

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist, with experience within the last year.

Education

• A two-year degree in an Allied Health field, or a qualification in Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent education.

Certifications & Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Additional Information

• Maintain a clean and orderly patient care environment.
• Participate in equipment preventive maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Prepare preliminary reports for cardiologist review and compare with previous studies.
• No prior travel experience explicitly required.
