Nuclear Medicine Technician - Contract
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 9 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (3 shifts per week)
Hours per Week: 22.5 hours
Job Description
- Operate Nuclear Medicine Lab equipment and perform related procedures.
- Educate patients and families about nuclear medicine procedures.
- Perform dose administration and dose calculations.
- Conduct quality control procedures and equipment troubleshooting.
- Handle radioactive materials safely and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist with research and data archiving related to imaging technologies.
- Assess patient data and advise on radiation safety and hazard warnings.
- Manage nuclear waste and evaluate equipment performance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New York
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year
- Associate degree required
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)
