Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery

Location: Mesquite, Texas
Facility: Dallas Regional Medical Center

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM (3 shifts of 12 hours, guaranteed 36 hours/week)
Uniform: Navy or Royal Blue scrubs

Job Description

• Position requires a current and valid RN license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Experience with postpartum and vaginal examinations is a plus.
• Must have experience or willingness to care for COVID-19 patients.
• Charting system used: EPIC.

Required Certifications and Licenses

• RN License (verification via Nursys)
• BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• ACLS
• NRP (American Heart Association or Red Cross; NALS also accepted for NICU, L&D, Postpartum RNs)
• Basic/AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (preferred)

Required Exams and Testing

• Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80% score)
• Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80% score)
• Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80% score)
• Prime Skills Checklist
• Prime Criminal Background Check (within one year of start date; must be completed before assignment in TX)
• Prime Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel test including THC)
• Fit Test (annual respirator fit test required prior to start)
• Prime Color-blind Test (annual)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or documented declination
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination or immunity required (declinations not accepted at some locations)
• Influenza Vaccine: Required annually during flu season (declinations not accepted at some locations)
• TB Test: Required
• Varicella: Vaccination or immunity required
• Tdap: Required (declinations not accepted at some locations)
• Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray (optional)

• Driver’s license, State ID, or Passport for identification
• Prime Agency Attestation
• Prime SAM/EPLS (Excluded Individual) search
• Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification)
• Prime COA (Certificate of Assignment)
