Job Opportunity: Sterile Processing Technician (Travel)

Location: Traverse City, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

• Position: Central Processing Department (CPD) Technician
• Responsibilities: Clean, inspect, and assemble instrumentation according to Instructions for Use (IFU) and Instrument Tracking Software (TDOC).
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
• Scrubs provided by hospital

Required Certifications & Credentials

• HSPA or CBSPD certification (Sterile Processing Technician credential)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Must be active at start date; AHA or American Red Cross accepted
• CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician)
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – Proof of vaccination or positive titer required
• Influenza Vaccine – Required from November 1 through April 30; no declinations accepted except approved medical/religious exemptions
• TB Test – Negative T-spot or QuantiFERON preferred within last 6 months OR completion of 2 negative skin tests within last 6 months; if positive, chest X-ray and TB screening questionnaire required
• Health Statement – Fit for duty, completed within 1 year of start
• Varicella – Proof of vaccination or positive titer required
• Core Competency Exam – OSHA & Joint Commission (must be done at time of hire)

• Munson Drug Screen – Results within 90 days prior to start accepted

Required Professional Documents & Verifications

• Valid Driver's License/State ID
• Social Security Card
• Munson Profile (resume, skills checklist, contact info) – required for submission
• Minimum of 2 professional references (attestations not acceptable)
• Social Security Verification (trace not accepted)
• Criminal Background Check – 7-year national check including aliases, sex offender database, FACIS Level 3; no pending counties; attestations not acceptable; results within 90 days of start
• Education Verification – Third party verification or diploma; attestations not acceptable
• Employment Verification – Third party verification of previous 2 employers; attestations not acceptable
• OIG Search, OFAC, National Sex Offender Search – Results within 90 days of start; attestations not acceptable
• Completed I9 Attestation
• Emergency Contact Form
• Signed Healthcare System Agreement (to be submitted within 24 hours of accepting offer)

Additional Information

• All credentials and health requirements must be current and valid at the time of hire.
