Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Call: No call required
• Floating: Required to float to PCU/CCU/ICU units within float pool
• EMR System: EPIC
• Block Scheduling: Willing to discuss during interview
• Locals Allowed: Yes
• First Time Travelers Accepted: Yes

Experience & Certifications

• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year (including 1 year of float pool experience)
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Education verification required (US equivalency documentation if education completed out of county)
• State license primary source verification
• 2 professional references completed within 1 year of start

Health & Safety Requirements

• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or signed declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (3 doses or signed declination)
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31); mask required if declined

Additional Competencies & Documents

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Competency exam required
• Photo for badge required
• Confidentiality, crime disclosure, and potential conflict of interest forms must be reviewed and completed

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required for this position

This position offers a night shift travel opportunity with a focus on float pool nursing across critical care units, suitable for nurses with at least 1 year of float pool experience and required certifications.
