Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist (RCIS)

Location: Great Falls, Montana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Requirements

  • Certification:

    • Required: RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
    • Preferred: ARRT R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
  • Work Schedule:

    • Weekend shifts are call only
    • Coverage includes 2 techs, 1 RN, and 1 physician
    • Hours vary depending on inpatient or emergency department cases
    • Estimated 5-10 hours per weekend, averaging every 3rd weekend

Required Credentials & Documentation

Licenses & Certifications

  • State License verification (required)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – as applicable by specialty
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – required for clinical positions
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as applicable by specialty

Background Checks & Verifications

  • Background check within 1 year covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check (required)
  • HHS/OIG check (required)
  • Education verification related to profession or specialty (not required for non-clinical)
  • Transcript or diploma accepted in lieu of education verification

Competency Exams

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required)
  • General Competency Exam (required)
  • HIPAA Competency (required annually)

Facility-Specific Documents

  • Photo for badge (passport style, solid background, clear, no filters)
  • Privacy Security Form (required prior to start)
  • COVID-19 Declination Form (if not vaccinated or missing 2024-2025 booster)
  • Flu Declination Form (if declining flu vaccine)
  • Agency Staff Personnel Form (confirmation of EPIC charting system use within past 12 months)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam / Health Statement (not required annually; new exam if >30 day gap between assignments)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
  • Negative TB test (PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot within 30 days) or chest X-ray if history of positive TB
  • Measles (Rubeola): 2 MMR vaccines or positive antibody titer
  • Mumps: 2 MMR vaccines or positive antibody titer
  • Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive antibody titer
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella (Chickenpox): History of disease, 2 vaccines, positive antibody titer, or declination (with work restrictions if exposed)
  • Drug Testing: 5, 7, or 10 panel drug screen within 1 year including THC, cocaine, amphetamines, PCP, opiates
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination: Preferred; declination form required if declining
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Highly recommended but not required; declination form required if not vaccinated or missing latest booster
