Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Shift: Day (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week (5 days x 8 hours)
On-Call/Weekends/Holidays: May be required
Job Description Highlights

Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport) matching all documentation.
- E-Verify or attestation required.
- Background checks within 30 days of start, including:
- 7-year county criminal background search for all locations lived/worked.
- Sex offender search.
- State police investigation if applicable.
- Education verification for credentialed roles.
- Professional references: 2 within the last 3 years.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start.
- Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation; updated annually.
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap required.
- Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; annual updates required.
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella. Boosters required if titers are low or equivocal.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series and positive titer or signed facility-specific declination form.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (no rapid screens).
Competency & Testing Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Must pass with 80% or higher; two attempts allowed.
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required for certain specialties; two attempts allowed.
- Pass/fail testing applies to all RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Cath Lab Techs; verify applicability for Nuclear Medicine Tech.
- Additional unit-specific certifications or competencies may be required; confirm with job description.
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Photo for badge (passport style, clear background).
- Completion of facility-specific forms including job description acknowledgment, internet access form, and security questionnaire.
- Completion of any required training such as forensic evidence collection if applicable.
