Registered Nurse – Infusion (Travel/Contract)

Location: Issaquah, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Overview

  • Support outpatient MDs in clinic for infusion needs.
  • Requires acute care medical-surgical oncology experience.
  • Outpatient oncology experience preferred with extensive chemotherapy experience.
  • Schedule options:
    • Primary: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
    • Alternative: 4 days a week, 9-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
  • No weekends or call requirements.
  • Accepts first-time travelers.
  • Previous permanent staff at this facility are not eligible to work as travelers here.
  • Active compact nursing licenses are honored in Washington.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.
  • Minimum 1 year of infusion experience, with infusion experience within the last year.
  • Chemotherapy experience.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Compliance & Background Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
  • Social Security Card (as applicable).
  • Background Check:
    • Must be within 90 days of start date, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
    • Includes SSN Trace, Death Master Index, Counties, Nationwide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3, Education Verification, MVR (if Home Health), and International Background Search (if applicable).
    • Background checks must be updated annually.
    • No open/active background hits or multiple DUI charges allowed.
  • E-Verify attestation required.
  • State-specific searches for Washington and border states required and must be updated every 2 years for certain facility types.
  • Education Verification: Nursing degree verification required; international education requires diploma/transcript or CES report.
  • NURSYS verification required for all RNs.

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work with or without accommodation.
  • Immunizations and screenings:
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination accepted.
    • Negative TB test (IGRA/TSPOT, QGold, or 2 PPDs) within 12 months; annual updates required.
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters or declination accepted.
    • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series or positive titer, or signed declination.
    • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters or declination accepted.
    • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or declination on file.
    • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow masking policies.
  • Drug Screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instant tests acceptable.
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required annually for travel candidates; virtual questionnaire reviewed by licensed healthcare professional.
  • Fit Mask Testing: Required annually for travel candidates; completed onsite or valid record within 1 year.

Training & Competency Requirements

  • Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
  • Competency exams required by specialty.
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification or assessment exam required for Labor & Delivery RNs only (not applicable here).
  • IV Certification as required by specialty.

Additional Notes

  • Float Policy Acknowledgement required; traveler may be asked to float to other nearby facilities.
  • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required prior to start.
  • Prior travel experience is not required.
