PCU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Toledo, Ohio
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 18:45–07:15
• 13-week contract
• Adults and geriatrics
• Mixed unit: PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• First-time travelers accepted
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Floating required within scope to other facilities and units as needed
• No local travelers within 50 miles
• No pending license accepted
• Block scheduling not available
• RTO over 7 days requires management approval

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Details

• Renal, urology, and vascular patient population
• CAPD and CBI
• Telemetry
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Peripheral line care/management
• Nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management

Preferred

• Heparin protocols
• EPIC familiarity

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• 2 professional references within 2 years of start, with at least 1 from a leader
• Skills checklist
• Background check
• Education verification
• Drug screen
• Physical exam
• N95 fit test
• Tdap
• TB screening
• MMR immunity or exemption
• Hepatitis B immunity or declination
• Varicella immunity or exemption
• Flu vaccination or exemption
• Jot form completed at least 10 days before start
