Role Summary
- Float pool nurses work across all 19 inpatient units, including children, adolescents, and adults.
- The role may require serving as charge RN during a shift without additional charge pay.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Behavioral Health experience
- Pediatric Behavioral Health (0.5 years of experience)
- Pediatric Behavioral Health experience within the last year
- 2 years of nursing experience
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a psych/behavioral health setting
- Maryland fingerprinting completed prior to start
- First-time travelers accepted
Schedule Requirements
- Every other weekend required
- On-call not required
- One pre-approved RTO request allowed
Work Expectations
- Candidate will float within scope to meet facility needs
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, delegation, and leadership skills are expected
