Pediatric Behavioral Health Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide nursing care primarily to children and adolescents with behavioral health needs, including suicidal ideations, ADHD, and spectrum disorders.
- Work in a 24/7, 82-bed children's behavioral health facility.
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM).
- Every other weekend required.
- Charting system: Epic.
- Locals accepted at travel rate.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric behavioral health nursing experience within the last year.
- Experience working with pediatric patients in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience with milieu management.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Behavioral health nursing experience.
Additional Information
- Facility provides login and instructions for mandatory online training modules (~8-12 hours) before orientation.
- If unable to complete modules before start, attendance at orientation is still required.
Work Environment
- Pediatric behavioral health inpatient setting.
- Patient population primarily children and adolescents with complex psychiatric conditions.
- Night shift work with every other weekend coverage.
This position is ideal for a pediatric behavioral health nurse with at least one year of relevant experience, comfortable working nights in a specialized children’s psychiatric facility, and able to meet comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.
