Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Unit: Medical Surgical, 32 beds
- Shift: Nights (3 shifts of 12 hours; 18:30 – 7:00)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours (option for 36 or 48 hours; anything over 48 hours is overtime)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
- No call required
- Floating to like units may be required
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts within 6 weeks
- Charting system: Epic
- Rapid response team activation involved
- Unit accepts first-time travel nurses
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Fingerprinting must be completed onsite during orientation; clearance required before working on unit
- Travelers can attend orientation and Epic training pending fingerprint clearance
- No references required for clearance, but internal professional references may be requested
- Must complete employee vehicle registration form prior to start
- Flu vaccine declinations are not accepted; medical exemptions must be signed by a provider and approved
- Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted
