Step Down Nurse

Location

Dayton, Ohio

Schedule

Night shift
3x12 hours
36 hours per week
36- or 48-hour shift option available

Contract Length

20 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid LPN / LVN license in Ohio
LPN / LVN (1 year of experience)
LPN / LVN experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Ventilator experience
Telemetry experience
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Travel experience
Level 1 or Level 2 experience

Clinical Setting

Step-down unit with telemetry, drips, and ventilators
Patient population includes COPD, CHF, pneumonia, flu, sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, and post-COVID
May care for trachs, BiPAPs, and high-oxygen-requirement patients
No orally intubated patients on the unit

Additional Notes

Traveler floats at the facility’s discretion
Must be available every other weekend and holiday
N95 fit testing is required before working on the unit unless PAPR is used
Navy blue scrubs are required
RTO must be requested with the initial submission
For a 48-hour contract, overtime is paid after 48 hours
