Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Long Beach, California
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
• Call required
• Float required
• Weekend coverage: every other weekend
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Backfill assignment

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Non-invasive airway management
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Details

• Patient age groups: adolescents, adults, geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses and unit focus include neurology, stroke, cardiac, wound care, respiratory, ortho, oncology, and surgical care
• Required skills include MS/Tele, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, rapid response/code team use, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
