Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio.
• 13-week assignment.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• May float to a unit with similar acuity.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of postpartum experience.
• Post Partum experience within the last year.
• Post Partum (2 years of experience).
• Antepartum experience.
• Labor and Delivery experience.
• IV start skills.
• Experience with Epic.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure.
• State license verification required within 30 days of start.
• NURSYS verification required for RNs.
• Emergency Contact Form required.
• Employment Application required.
• Skills Checklist 1 required.
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or someone in a formal leadership capacity.

Preferred

• Previous travel nursing experience.

Certifications and Compliance

• BLS must be AHA only.
• NRP is required for Post-Partum.
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required annually.
• Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Training Certificate required prior to start and updated annually.
• Ethics and Compliance Policies must be reviewed and signed annually.
• Ohio State – Dress Code and Hand Hygiene Policy must be reviewed and signed.
• Ohio State (Travel) – Confidential Fraud Waste Abuse and Compliance Reporting Mechanism Form required.
• Ohio State - Background Acknowledgement (Subs) required for sub-agency travelers.
• Ohio State - Variable Schedule Attestation for OR is required only for OR employees and is not listed as applicable to this role.

Health Requirements

• Physical Exam required unless remote.
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap required unless remote.
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray required unless remote.
• TB Questionnaire required.
• Rubeola (Measles) required unless remote.
• Mumps required unless remote.
• Rubella required unless remote.
• Hepatitis B required unless remote.
• Varicella required unless remote.
• Drug Testing required.
• Flu Seasonal Vaccination/Documentation required during flu season unless remote.
• COVID is not required but recommended.
