Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Operating Room Circulating RN)

Location: Weston, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)

Work Schedule

Dayshift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8s)
On-call: Every 4th weekday and every 4th weekend, including some holidays
Must be within 30 minutes of the facility while on call

Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience required
Required Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support)
Preferred Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Required Skills

Endoscopic Procedures: Colonoscopy, EGD, Laparoscopic assisted cases, PEG tube placement/exchange
General Surgery: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical), Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Partial/total Thyroidectomy
Gynecology: Abdominal/Vaginal hysterectomy, Bilateral tubal ligation, C-sections, Dilation & Curettage, Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures
Ophthalmology: Cataract extraction/implant
Orthopedic: ACL reconstruction, Arthroscopy, Carpal tunnel release, Closed and open reduction of fractures, Total joint replacement
Pediatric General Surgery: Appendectomy

Preferred Skills

ENT: Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy
Endoscopic Procedures: Bronchoscopy

Background Checks

7-year criminal background check (covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (updated every 30 days or contract renewal)
Education verification

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – required for ER RNs
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
CHEMO (Chemotherapy) – if applicable
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – if applicable
NIH Stroke Certification – required for all RNs
State License verification

Health Documents

Physical exam (initial and annual)
Immunizations and titers: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within required timeframes)
Drug testing (10 panel within 30 days of start, updated annually)
Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
