Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D Nights)
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
- Coverage: Every other weekend
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D)
- Required Experience: 2 years recent experience in specialty (higher value from description)
- Skills: Basic to intermediate fetal monitoring
- Prior Travel Experience: Preferred (previous travel experience preferred but not explicitly required)
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, MAB, CHEMO certifications as applicable (may be required depending on assignment specifics)
Required Licenses
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Oklahoma (primary source verification required)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background Check: 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Education Verification: Must verify highest level of education
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Physical Exam: Within 12 months of start
- Fit Mask Test: Required within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually
- Immunizations/Vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination accepted)
- Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
Additional Requirements
- Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
- Work history verification for the past 7 years
- Complete employment application/resume required
- Clear headshot photo for badge
- Driver’s License/State ID required
- E-Verify and other standard employment eligibility checks
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Minimum of 1 year recent Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Basic to intermediate fetal monitoring skills
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Notes
- Scrubs provided
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required
- Fingerprinting may be required onsite during orientation (specific to some states)
- Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory
