Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital, Level 3 Trauma Center
Staffed Beds: 171
Shift: Day, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12s)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No holiday RTO; maximum 5 total days off in 13-week assignment. No additional RTO allowed after contract start.
  • Charting System: EPIC (experience preferred)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Oklahoma
  • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Background check within 30 days of start, including 7-year criminal search across all counties worked in last 7 years
  • Copy of diploma or transcript required (unofficial transcripts acceptable if graduation date included)
  • Primary source verification of state license prior to start
  • Unit-specific competency exam required
  • Completion of facility-specific modules (Oracle, NIH Apex, WorkRamp) prior to start
  • Physical exam within 1 year stating "cleared to work" with physician signature
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years if prior positive)
  • Required immunizations or titers:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (series, positive titer, or signed declination)
    • Varicella
  • Drug test within 30 days of start (10-panel, negative results)
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - May 1)
  • Two professional references required prior to start
  • Work history verification for last 3 years (attestations acceptable; can be pending at start)
  • Annual skills checklist and performance evaluation (if applicable)

Attendance Policy

  • Zero-fault attendance policy: any missed scheduled shift counts as unexcused
  • 2 missed shifts result in a warning; 3 or more may result in contract cancellation
  • Applies on a rolling calendar year basis

Additional Notes

  • Travelers must report to the lab within 48-72 hours of signing the contract
  • Photo for badge required before start (plain white background, no filters, front-facing)
  • Confidentiality agreement, job description, and code of conduct acknowledgment must be signed prior to start

This position is ideal for Respiratory Therapists with at least 1 year of experience, including those new to travel assignments, who are comfortable working day shifts in a Level 3 Trauma acute care hospital setting.
