Job Opportunity: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Location: Stockton, California
Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Assignment Details

Start Date: ASAP (flexible for later start dates)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months) preferred, with possible extension up to 26 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift Schedule:
- 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
- Occasional weekend coverage as needed

Requirements

Active California COTA license
Minimum 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) and/or Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) preferred
New graduates will be considered
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Certifications & Compliance

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (current and valid)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
State License verification as applicable
National Tech Certification as applicable

Required Documentation & Health Compliance

Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
Emergency Contact Form prior to start
Background checks including:
- 7-year residence/work/school history
- EPLS/GSA/SAM verification (annual)
- HHS/OIG verification (annual)
Physical exam within 1 year of start
Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (with specific protocols for past positives)
Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start
Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
