Job Details

• Position does not float between units
• No on-call, weekend, or block schedule requirements
• Expected patient ratio: 1:1

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Oregon
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience, including experience within the last year

Certifications (as applicable)

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - if required by clinical track
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - if required by clinical track
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - if required by clinical track
• Other certifications (e.g., Chemotherapy, EFM, IV Certification, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification) as applicable per clinical track and facility requirements

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (as applicable for I9)
• Background Check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
• Education Verification required
• Drug Screen: 9 Panel within 12 months of start; instant acceptable if paired with attestation
• References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
• Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Immunizations and Health Screenings:

  • TDAP within 10 years (declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
  • Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
  • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow masking policies
• Fit Mask testing required for travel candidates (except certain specialties like outpatient PT)
• Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates

Competency and Skills

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Competency Exams as required by specialty
• Skills Checklist updated annually (not required for non-clinical)

Facility Specific Requirements

• Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, regional, and system-specific) prior to start and annually thereafter
• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
• Float Policy Acknowledgement (may be required to float to other nearby facilities)

Additional Notes

• Candidate will work in a short-term acute care setting with Epic charting
• No weekend or on-call shifts required
• Scrubs provided for certain units; otherwise, any scrub color allowed
• Parking is free at the facility
