Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Call: Call required
Experience Required: 1-3 years in cardiothoracic surgery (minimum 3 years preferred)
Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience not required)
Role: Circulating RN in CVOR; ability to scrub preferred but not required
Residency Restriction: Candidates residing in certain Texas counties are not eligible (specific counties excluded)

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience within the last year
At least 1 year of experience in cardiothoracic surgery
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (specific mask types accepted)
Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with follow-up if positive)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented chickenpox history required
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start

7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
Verification of highest level of education required (transcript or diploma accepted as placeholder if needed)
Employment application and resume required
7-year work history verification required
Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
Clear headshot photo for badge

Internal verification requirements include E-Verify and federal exclusion screenings (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
Fingerprinting required only for New Mexico placements (not applicable here)
Orientation safety manual and HIPAA acknowledgement required
Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements
