Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location: Chaska, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: Approximately 20 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Monday through Friday)
- Weekend Scheduling: May work every Friday or every other Friday

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with recent OR experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Emergency Contact Form prior to start
- Background checks including:
- 7-year location history
- EPLS/GSA/SAM verification (annual)
- HHS/OIG verification (annual)
- Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprinting and Photo (must be completed prior to start; Livescan preferred)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with annual TB questionnaire)
- Immunizations and titers as per state requirements:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
- Varicella (titer, vaccine series, or history of chickenpox)
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination highly recommended
- COVID vaccination highly recommended
- Photo for badge (headshot with plain neutral background)
Additional Notes
- Candidates must complete the Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint Questionnaire immediately after signing the contract to be registered for fingerprinting.
- Fingerprinting results typically take 4-5 days; candidates should arrive in Minnesota 4-5 days before start date to allow processing time.
- If fingerprinting cannot be completed via Livescan locally, candidates must travel to a location that offers it before starting.
- References: 2 professional references required for travel or acute care roles (within 2 years).
- Skills checklist required annually.
