Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Sahuarita, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting, you will:

• Evaluate and treat patients per physician referral or direct access
• Establish and supervise physical therapy assistants following a PT plan of care
• Evaluate and treat injured workers; understand and use systems for Return to Work plans
• Utilize modalities and exercise equipment available in the facility
• Perform post-offer testing such as WorkSTEPS or APET
• Conduct Work Hardening Evaluations or Functional Capacity Evaluations
• Perform ergonomic evaluations or job analysis
• Supervise PT technicians and oversee cleaning/organizational tasks
• Manage scheduling, patient referrals, and phone communications as needed
• Use billing codes appropriately for various payer types
• Communicate patient progress weekly with rehab nurses and maintain timely notes for referring physicians
• Maintain all required licensure and employee information for liability coverage
• Maintain professionalism with patients, healthcare providers, and other contacts
• Assist with business development, marketing, and community engagement activities
• Perform additional tasks as needed for the benefit of the team

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Arizona
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in an outpatient setting

• Start date: April 13th
• Must maintain all licensure and certifications in good standing throughout the contract
• Ability to perform post-offer testing and ergonomic/job analysis evaluations is required
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential
• Willingness to participate in marketing and community outreach activities is expected
