Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT)

Job Description

• Perform cardio-pulmonary evaluation, respiratory care, life support, and education for patients, families, and the public.
• Work with inpatients and outpatients of all ages with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.
• Follow established protocols or physician prescriptions.
• Provide respiratory care duties across all hospital areas.
• Must have experience with EPIC electronic health records system.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC RRT)
• New York State Respiratory Therapist License (must be current and uploaded)
• Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program
• Critical Care proficiency
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Labor and Delivery/Neonatal Resuscitation experience required

Additional Requirements

• Must have a current New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate to work temporary assignments in NY.
• Must complete verbal de-escalation training from approved providers (Welle or CPI) for onboarding and clearance.
• 14-panel drug screen required within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
• Permanent address must be included in profile and must match Driver License/State ID; address will be validated during compliance.
• Candidates from certain New York counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington) are not eligible for this assignment.
• COVID vaccinations are encouraged but not required.
