Radiology Technologist (Outpatient) - Travel Position

Location: Reno, Nevada
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide optimal diagnostic imaging and excellent patient care in a fast-paced outpatient radiology setting. Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. May float to other areas within the department as needed.

Schedule & Work Environment

Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
40 hours per week guaranteed
Some call may be required (details discussed during interview)
May be required to work major holidays and pick up additional shifts
Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and call shifts
Extremely busy environment serving a large regional area with trauma and stroke cases

Required Qualifications

Valid Radiology Technologist license in Nevada
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, including experience within the last year
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Key Responsibilities

Produce optimal diagnostic images following physician orders and safety protocols
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for neonatal, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Operate imaging equipment and related machinery competently
Assist in billing, supply stocking, file maintenance, medical charting, and quality improvement activities
Obtain informed consent and patient history as needed
Consult with Radiologists regarding contrast media and image quality improvements
Demonstrate competency in OR Suite, Trauma Suite, and portable radiography within 90 days of hire
Provide patient care consistent with department standards and policies

Additional Information

May be required to float within the department based on competency
The facility is a Level II trauma center with a high volume of emergency and trauma cases
Work environment demands the pace and volume of a Level I trauma center
