Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Overview
- Unit Type: Labor and Delivery / OB Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 32
- Number of Staff: 150
- Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 1 or 2 patients (1:1 or 1:2)
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 co-charge nurse, RNs
- Equipment Used: Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, Ultrasound
- Electronic Medical Record System: Meditech
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required; navy blue T-shirts not allowed; solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts only
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification
Typical Procedures Performed
- Spontaneous Vaginal Deliveries (SVD)
- Cerclage procedures
- Cesarean Sections (C-Sections)
- Trial of Labor After Cesarean (TOLAC)
Work Environment & Culture
