Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department with a 40-bed unit and a patient ratio of 1:6. Treat all patient populations including adult, pediatric, and trauma cases. Work with an EPIC electronic health record system.

36 hours per week guaranteed
Weekend hours required
No call requirements
No float requirements

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI

Additional Requirements

Complete and clear background screenings prior to start, including:
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
- FBI fingerprinting (within last 2 years or new submission required)
- Pennsylvania State Police Clearance (PATCH)
Fingerprints must be submitted/uploaded before clearance
Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a travel nurse

Work Environment & Culture

Team-oriented environment; team player personality fit preferred
Dress code: scrubs of any color allowed; no unacceptable attire specified
