• 4x10 hour shifts (Monday-Thursday)
• Shift hours: 2045 to 0715
• No call required
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 40

Unit Description

• Level II Trauma Operating Room with 18 ORs
• Patient population: neonates to geriatrics
• Common procedures include trauma, neurosurgery (ACDF, spinal fusions, cranial procedures), Da Vinci Xi robotics, urology, vascular, open heart, general surgery, trauma ortho, pediatrics, minimal plastics, and ENT

Job Responsibilities

• Provide optimal patient care using nursing knowledge and skills throughout the entire episode of care
• Deliver comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families/caregivers
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed
• Meet unit/department age-specific competency standards
• Exercise clinical judgment and decision-making in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nevada
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Environment

• Busy, fast-paced Level II trauma center serving a large regional area
• Hospital with 800 inpatient beds and 80 ER beds
• High volume and pace comparable to a Level I trauma center
