Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Travel)

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Unit: Endoscopy Laboratory
Beds: 9
Staff: 11 full/part-time RNs, 2 PRN, plus 2 techs per day
Shift: Day shift only (5:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
Patient Ratios:
- Intra-op: 2 RNs per patient
- Pre/Post-op: 1 RN per 2 patients
Equipment: Olympus endoscopes and reprocessing equipment
EMR System: Meditech

Typical Procedures

EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
Colonoscopy
ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound)
EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound)
Infection control, manual cleaning, and high-level disinfection of endoscopes

Schedule & Call Details

2 opening shifts per month: 6:00 AM – 5:30 PM
3 to 4 weeknight shifts per month (Monday–Thursday): 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM (13.5 hours)
1 Friday shift per month: 5:30 PM – 11:00 PM
1 to 2 weekend shifts per month: Saturday 11:00 PM – Sunday 7:00 AM and Monday morning

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy experience, with experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
