Job Summary

  • Work in a Joint Commission Accredited community hospital and regional referral center with 171 beds.
  • Emergency Department unit with 24 beds and a patient ratio of 1:4.
  • Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and some pediatric patients with mixed medical conditions and varying acuity.
  • Equipment used includes Ultrasound, Bellmont Transfuser, Baxter IV Pumps, Glidescope, BD IV Products, and GE monitors in every room.
  • Electronic Health Record system: MedHost EDIS.
  • Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week).
  • May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Certifications required:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience in trauma care.

Skills and Experience

  • Must have skills/experience in trauma care and STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) management.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of ED experience.
  • Personality fit: approachable, team-oriented, proactive, willing to ask for help, and uses downtime productively to assist others or complete tasks.

Additional Information

  • Orientation is weekly.
  • No call requirements specified.
  • Dress code: Black scrubs required; certain attire is unacceptable (not specified).
  • Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel.
