Medical Laboratory Technologist - Contract Position

Position Summary

Under the direction of the laboratory manager, responsible for performing laboratory tests, quality control procedures, and communication with physicians, nurses, and patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field required.
• Must be board eligible by NCA or ASCP and complete board certification within one year of employment.
• 1 to 3 years of related or progressively responsible experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and microbiology or formal student internship.
• Certification as MT by ASCP or CLS by NCA within one year of employment.
• Experience with clinical laboratory instrumentation.
• Laboratory generalist skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants.

Requirements & Conditions

• Private housing is not provided; housing consists of shared units.
• No pets allowed.
• Airfare must be initially paid by the candidate or agency and will be reimbursed upon arrival.
• New Employee Orientation is held every Tuesday and Wednesday only.
• Candidates cannot travel until all credentials are received and cleared by the recruiter.

• 10-panel drug screen within the last 90 days.
• Competency testing checklist.
• OIG report for all alias names.
• SAM report for all alias names.
• National sex offender registry search for all alias names.
• OSHA report.
• OFAC report.
• Fit test or physical exam.
• Emergency contact information.
• Three professional references.

• All travelers must show proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations.
