Job Opportunity: LDRP Nurse

Location: Council Bluffs, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Certifications

BLS (AHA)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Experience & Skills

Ability to manage labors, deliveries, and postpartum care
NICU experience is a plus but not required
Comfortable with Level 1 maternal care (low risk births)
Experience with common drips: insulin, magnesium sulfate, pitocin
Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps

Patient Ratios

1:3 mom-baby couplets
1:1 laboring patients (depending on case)

Work Environment & Policies

Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply may result in contract termination
Closed unit; no floating required
Charge nurses present on each shift and take patient assignments
Weekend shifts required every 3rd weekend
Blocked scheduling preferred; flexibility is a plus
RN orientation includes a pass/fail open book exam (90% required to pass)
