Radiologic Technologist (Xray)

Location: Dodgeville, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking an experienced and qualified Xray technologist with CT and Fluoroscopy experience. The position involves floating between multiple clinic locations and covering various imaging modalities including X-Ray, CT, and C-Arm in outpatient, inpatient, and ER settings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform imaging procedures including general X-Ray, CT (head, neck, abdomen, chest, spine, joint, trauma with reconstruction), Fluoroscopy procedural, minimal interventional radiology, and surgical imaging procedures.
  • Schedule, file, and perform data entry for the Radiology Department.
  • Ensure patient comfort and follow patient safety protocols.
  • Participate in quality initiatives and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
  • Transport and assist patients with proper placement for scans.
  • Function as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Work Environment & Equipment

  • Department includes: 1 General X-Ray room, 1 General/Fluoro room, 1 portable unit, 2 C-Arm units, 1 Bone Density unit, 1 CT scanner, 1 MRI.
  • Equipment brands include GE, Phillips, Siemens.
  • Use of PACS (Merge) and EMR (EPIC) systems.
  • Shifts vary between 7 AM and 11 PM; weekend work possible.
  • Call may be required with a 20-minute response time.
  • Scrubs provided (black color).
  • On-site orientation provided.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) license with CT certification.
  • Wisconsin state radiology license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a multi-modality radiology position (including CT and Fluoroscopy).
  • Ability or willingness to learn blood draws preferred.
  • Ability to start IVs preferred.
  • Prior experience with EPIC EMR preferred but not required.
  • Preferably 1 year experience working under a Board Certified Radiologist.

Additional Information

  • Imaging volume varies: X-Ray 35+ scans/day, Mammography 12-17 scans/day, CT 8-25 scans/day, Bone Density 2-4 scans/day, Surgery & Pain Clinic procedures 2-10/day.
  • Radiologist coverage is part-time on-site with remote reads available 24/7.
  • Weekend shifts and call may be required; no holiday requirement.
