IR/Vascular Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of IR (Interventional Radiology) experience
• Prior travel experience not explicitly required

Work Environment & Department Details

• Department: IR / Vascular Tech
• 7 procedure rooms total (4 Cath Lab/EP & 3 IR/Vascular)
• Average 20+ cases per day across all rooms
• Common procedures:

  • IR: Port placements, liver biopsy, IVC placements, G-tube placements, PICC & Central line placements, Neuro cases (coiling, thrombectomy, embolizations) with anesthesia support
  • Vascular: Femoral-popliteal bypass, AAA repair, carotid procedures, EVAR, angiograms, and more

Job Duties

• Prepare procedure suites and ensure radiation safety setup
• Calibrate and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
• Pull supplies, set up sterile tables
• Scrub in and assist physicians with procedures including device exchange, guidewire manipulation, catheter placement, balloon and stent deployment
• Manage radiation dose and imaging angles
• Clean, restock, and turnover rooms
• Sheath removals

Scheduling & Shifts

• 4 ten-hour days per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) plus call, rotating day off
• Option to consider 5 eight-hour days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Weeknight and weekend call rotation approximately once every 3 weekdays and once every 3 weekends (Friday through Monday)
• Holiday call may be required
• Call response time: 30 minutes

Staffing

• Cath Lab: 1 RN, 3 Techs
• EP: 3 to 4 person team
• IR: 1 RN, 2 Techs, anesthesia supports neuro cases
• STEMI call team: 1 RN, 3 Techs

Orientation & Training

• 2-3 full days of department-specific orientation and shadowing
• No call first week; second week on call with a buddy before going solo

Additional Information

• Hybrid floating for vascular cases
• Provided scrubs; own scrub caps allowed
• Must clock in and out at the facility
• Clinicians who have previously worked at this facility must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to submission
