Position Details

• Specialty: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Schedule:

  • 4 x 10-hour shifts, Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
  • Average of 4 weeknight 12-hour shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Average of 3 weekend 12-hour shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Possible holiday call shifts
• Call Response Time: 30 minutes
• Floating: Not required
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided by the facility

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) via HSPA OR
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) via CBSPD

Experience Requirements

• Experience in orthopedic trauma and robotics required
• Must be comfortable working with cases involving:

  • Ortho trauma
  • Total joints
  • Da Vinci robot
  • Sports medicine
  • OB/GYN
  • Urology
• Experience in sterile processing roles covering Surgery (3 ORs), OB, ER, and clinics

Orientation

• Hospital orientation during the first week
• Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote

Additional Information

• Must be comfortable with snow and winter conditions
• No GI procedures involved
• Work radius: within 60 miles (driver’s license must be submitted)

This is a 13-week contract for a Sterile Processing Technician with required certifications and experience in ortho trauma and robotics. The role involves working primarily Wednesday through Saturday with additional weeknight and weekend call shifts. Orientation is mandatory and requires in-state presence. The position demands comfort with a variety of surgical specialties and the ability to work in a snowy environment.
