Pharmacist Tech - Yuma, Arizona

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license (or Compact license)
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) via PTCB certification (active and up to date)

Experience Requirements

• EPIC EMR experience required (must be accurately documented)
• Experience with Pyxis or Omnicell medication dispensing systems preferred
• Sterile compounding, hazardous compounding, and IV room experience are bonuses
• Automation experience is very important

Job Duties and Skills

• Delivery and restocking of medications
• Use of medication dispensing systems including Omnicell, Central pharmacy robot and carousel, Omnicell XT cabinets, and Omnicell Controlled Substance cabinet

Work Environment and Scheduling

• Shifts: Day and evening shifts available (7 on, 7 off schedule; shift hours 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or one weekend per month preferred
• Holiday requirement: 2 out of 3 holidays required
• Dress code: Khaki scrubs
• Orientation: One new employee orientation, one clinical education/EPIC training, one day floor orientation

• Start dates are fixed and must match one of the specified orientation dates
• Must provide detailed resume including duties, hospital/unit size, trauma level (if applicable), and explain any employment gaps
• Time off requests must be 5 days or less and included at time of submission
• Pharmacy Manager available 5 days a week
