Radiologic Technologist (Xray Tech) - Night Shift
Location: Lakewood, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Department: Radiology - General X-Ray
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Coverage: Emergency Department, inpatient, orthopedic, and spine procedures in the OR
- Average scans/studies per day: 20-30
- Equipment: GE C-arms, Carestream and Shimadzu portables, GE/Fuji general radiology rooms
- PACS/EMR Systems: Epic, Fuji PACS
- Trauma Level: Level 1 Trauma cases covered
- Scrubs: Hospital provided (blue)
- Scheduling: 24/7 coverage, no self-scheduling; routine shift templates
- Weekend and holiday work required
- Call or standby: No
- Orientation: Equipment overview, facility tour, Epic setup
- Floating: No routine floating; in extreme need, may float within nearby zone facilities (4x10 night shifts with call required)
Required Qualifications
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Must be able to cover OR procedures using C-arms
- Radiation badge must be provided by the agency (not supplied by facility)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to submit it (radius up to 60 miles)
- Must be present in-state for the week of orientation (even if some modules are remote)
Additional Information
- Radiologist available onsite during daytime; remote coverage at night
- Registered Radiology Assistants (PAs) are present in the department
- No IV starts required
This position is ideal for a radiologic technologist experienced in general X-ray and OR C-arm procedures, comfortable working night shifts in a Level 1 trauma environment, and able to commit to a 13-week contract.
