Schedule

• Weekdays
• 10-hour day shifts
• No call
• No weekends

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active Wyoming RN license with on-time renewal
• ACLS required within 6 months of employment and maintained throughout employment
• 2 years of OR experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery setting

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification preferred

Job Responsibilities

• Assess patients on admission and throughout pre-op and post-op care
• Communicate patient information to surgeons and anesthesiologists
• Carry out physician orders and document care
• Complete admission and discharge procedures and provide discharge instructions
• Provide patient and family education
• Support age-appropriate care and emergency response

Unit Details

• 9 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
• Possible float to hospital surgery department

Equipment / Systems

• Electronic patient monitoring for vital signs and ECG
• Computer system for charting
• Non-computerized medication supply

Orientation

• 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• First-day orientation checklist
• One week per area in PRE and PACU

Dress Code

• Scrubs provided
• Non-slip shoes required

Additional Notes

• Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Client may call off or cancel up to 24 hours per 13 weeks
